Minimum Requirements Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalency certificate required. Satisfactory completion of both the Introduction to Wastewater course and the Advanced Wastewater Collections course is required. Completion of the Advanced Wastewater Treatment course is preferred.

License and Certifications:

Must possess and maintain a valid New Jersey driver's license. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B is required. CDL Class A is preferred. A New Jersey Collection System C2 and/or S2 Wastewater Treatment license(s) preferred.

Physical Demands:

Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation to ensure the health and safety of oneself and others are maintained. This includes, but is not limited to, physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, legs and the whole body such as climbing (including ladders), kneeling, sitting, standing, working from elevated areas, lifting up to 50 lbs., balancing, walking, stooping, handling heavy objects, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, using a keyboard, and using tools, as well as manual dexterity and visual acuity, hearing and speaking. Must qualify for and possess the ability to perform entry into confined spaces while wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as, but not limited to, canister and dust masks, as well as Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), in compliance with PVSC's Facial Hair Grooming Policy.

Working Conditions:

Workers are employed in conditions associated with a wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system and will be required to work indoors and outdoors. Must be available for emergencies and job assignments on a 24-hour basis.
