Commercial Drivers License A Truck Driver

Job Description

Full Time CDL Class "A" Road Driver/Over the Road Truck Driver need for a 3PL provider, specializing in warehousing and transportation services for importers, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, auction houses, and private collectors.

North Bergen, NJ Hours:

Will be from 6:00AM- 5:30PM or until the work is finished). Candidates Must be flexible with overtime hours. Full Time - Direct hire Job Duties/Responsibilities would include but not be limited to: Drive tractor-trailers across regional, state and interstate highways. Complete thorough pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip equipment/tractor trailer's inspections (breaks, lights, tires, cargo connections, and/or refueling and cleaning as needed). Plan safe and efficient routes utilizing major NJ highways (e.g. I-95, Turnpike, I-80) while tracking hours of service/logging devices. There will be some interstate trips/runs assigned as needed. Obeying and following applicable traffic laws. Load, secure, and unload freight or verify safe loading/unloading done by warehouse staff. Always verifying loads for accuracy. Maintain clean compliance records, delivery receipts, freight logs, and communicate trip progress/runs directly with dispatchers. Safe operation of the assigned tractor-trailer 100% of the time- NO

ECEPTIONS.

Must follow ALL safety procedures and DOT regulations. Effective and timely communication with dispatchers on a daily basis. Report accidents/incidents immediately. Report mechanical issues/problems immediately.

Job Requirements:

Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class "A" and must provide an abstract of driving records/certified Motor Vehicle Records. (Must have clean driving records). Must have a current DOT medical examiner's certificate. Must have knowledge of DOT compliance. Must have at least two to three years of work experience with driving tractor trailers across regional, state and interstate highways. Ability to pass mandatory DOT drug/alcohol screenings and physical agility assessments. Should have high school diploma or its equivalent Must work well with others "Team Player" Comfortable working at a fast-paced environment. Should be able to do some bending, and repeatedly climb in and out of the tractors to properly hook up, unhook, and inspect trailers

•Should have own/reliable transportation for commuting.

Pay rate:

will be based on experience and qualifications, $24.00/hr. -$25.00/hr. Submit your resume for immediate consideration.
