Job Overview:
Join our team as a CDL Class A Truck Driver. You'll be responsible for delivering and picking up pallets throughout the region while providing great service to our customers and representing our company in a professional manner. In this role, you'll operate safely, follow DOT regulations and company procedures, and help keep our deliveries running on time. This is a local driving position averaging 50-55 hours per week, so you'll be home every night. Because our customers count on us year-round, you'll need to be comfortable driving in a variety of weather conditions, including rain, snow, ice, and other winter driving challenges applicable to the area. Above all, we're looking for someone who puts safety first and uses good judgment behind the wheel every day. What You'll Do Safely operate tractors and trailers in compliance with DOT regulations and applicable laws. Deliver and pick up pallets throughout your assigned region. Plan efficient routes while considering traffic, weather, customer needs, and delivery schedules. Secure freight using straps and other required equipment when operating flatbed equipment. Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and maintain required inspection records. Report maintenance concerns, unsafe conditions, accidents, and incidents promptly. Communicate delivery status, delays, and customer needs to dispatch. Obtain customer signatures and complete required electronic documentation. Follow FMCSA regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and company safety procedures. Build positive customer relationships through professional and courteous service. Maintain dependable attendance and effectively manage your time throughout the workday. Qualifications Valid CDL-A license. At least two years of Class A CDL driving experience or equivalent military driving experience. At least 21 years of age. Satisfactory motor vehicle record. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card. Ability to pass required drug testing, background screening, and MVR verification. Ability to verify previous employment history and provide professional references. Strong commitment to safety, customer service, and professional communication. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
