Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Tow Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tow trucks to assist stranded or improperly parked vehicles, ensuring prompt and professional service for our customers. Your expertise in vehicle recovery, mechanical knowledge, and customer service will be essential in delivering efficient solutions while maintaining safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact customer satisfaction and operational success. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently. Conduct automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery approach. Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches, ensuring secure handling during transit. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining services, and addressing concerns professionally. Maintain accurate records of all recoveries, loads, and deliveries through detailed reporting systems. Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws while driving and performing recovery operations. Assist with basic automotive repair tasks when necessary, leveraging mechanic experience to troubleshoot issues on-site. Experience Proven experience operating tow trucks or commercial driving vehicles, with a valid driver's license suitable for heavy-duty or commercial vehicles. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. Familiarity with manual transmissions, flatbed towing equipment, and automotive repair tools. Experience handling conflict management situations professionally and calmly under pressure. Prior work involving load & unload procedures, forklift operation, or other industrial vehicle handling is a plus. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record preferred.
