CDL Class A Day Cab Tractor-Trailer Driver Job Description Are you an experienced CDL Class A Driver seeking a local or dedicated route that gets you home every day? We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Day Cab Tractor-Trailer Driver to join our team! This position primarily involves local or regional hauling that does not require overnight travel, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL Class A Day Cab tractor and trailer (e.g., dry van, flatbed, tanker) over local and regional routes. Return home daily after completing the assigned route. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the tractor and trailer and report maintenance issues immediately. Transport and deliver freight to [Specify locations, e.g., distribution centers, rail yards, customer sites] within the designated service area. Accurately maintain records of all pickups, deliveries, and working hours (HOS) using an ELD (Electronic Logging Device) . Ensure cargo is properly secured to prevent damage during transit. Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays, customer concerns, or other issues encountered on the route. [

Include specific duties like Shuttling trailers within a terminal , Hooking/unhooking trailers (drop and hook) , or Assisting with load/unload ]. Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving laws and company safety protocols. Qualifications Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A .
