Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations and financial reporting in Pleasantville, New York. This role will oversee reconciliations, maintain the integrity of the general ledger, and contribute to monthly and annual close activities. The position also partners with leadership on compliance, audit support, tax-related filings, and financial analysis that helps guide business decisions.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily and periodic reconciliation of domestic and international bank accounts to ensure accurate cash reporting.
  • Review and reconcile corporate credit card activity, resolving discrepancies and confirming proper expense recording.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy by preparing entries, supporting account analysis, and contributing to month-end and year-end close cycles.
  • Develop financial reports and statements, including balance sheets, income statements, budget-related schedules, and other required reporting packages.
  • Support compliance efforts by assisting with insurance audits, documentation reviews, and financial analyses tied to regulatory obligations.
  • Evaluate financial and inventory data to identify trends, explain variances, and highlight items requiring management attention.
  • Assist with external audits and tax-related processes, including preparation of schedules and support for required filings.
  • Complete recurring state and federal tax and alcohol-related reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Partner with the Controller on executive-level reporting and provide support for treasury activities such as bank account administration across the organization.
  • Monitor accounting and finance regulations and recommend appropriate actions based on changes in reporting or compliance requirements.
