Pay Range $20 - $22 Our Opening and Your Responsibilities The driver serves as a point of contact for local customers and assists in maintaining customer relationships by providing high-quality service. The driver is responsible for safe operation of company trucks for timely delivery of products to customer and company locations. The driver will safely load, unload and transfer products as needed utilizing various equipment and forklifts within the branch location, trucks/trailers, and customer sites. There is one overnight trip per month to Boston and regular runs to North Jersey and Pennsylvania.
What you will do:
Operate company vehicles in a safe and punctual manner. Transport of both company and customer-owned products. Load and unload company vehicle by hand or material handling equipment. Responsible for coordinating and managing the preventative maintenance of company vehicles. Responsible for all associated documentation in relation to transportation and deliveries (e.g. Manifest logs, etc.) Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to provide quality service. Perform the job in accordance with all applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines (e.g. OSHA and DOT standards,) to promote a safe working environment. Other duties may be assigned. What You Need to Succeed High School Diploma or GED preferred. Valid Driver's License and DOT clearance. CDL not required. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to define problems, collect information and establish facts. Self-starter with ability to work independently. Ability to work days, evenings, weekends. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
