Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across local routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Use GPS navigation systems to follow designated routes efficiently and accurately Load and unload freight manually or with logistics cargo handling equipment, ensuring proper securing of loads such as refrigerated cargo or automobile transportation units Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA guidelines Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Experience Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving for local deliveries Familiarity with tractor-trailer operations Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials handling, and dangerous goods transportation Experience in truck loading/unloading procedures and manual handling techniques Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for route planning and execution Prior experience with manual transmission trucks is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary This role offers an energetic environment where your skills make a real impact!
