Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and responsible CDL Driver for weekend shifts (Friday through Sunday) in the northern region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate various commercial vehicles, including motor coaches, school buses, and shuttle vans, ensuring safe and efficient transportation services. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles such as motor coaches, school buses, or shuttle vans on designated routes during weekend shifts. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each trip to ensure safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Navigate city streets and highways efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch using two-way radios to coordinate routes and report any issues promptly. Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and providing special needs assistance when necessary to ensure passenger safety and comfort. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle conditions, and route details in compliance with federal and state transportation regulations. Respond professionally to adverse weather conditions or traffic disruptions to ensure timely service delivery. Skills Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements such as air brake certification. Strong mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and basic maintenance troubleshooting. Experience with bus driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driving preferred. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety standards related to commercial transportation. Excellent communication skills for effective driver communication via two-way radios and customer interactions. Ability to navigate city streets confidently while ensuring passenger safety at all times. Demonstrated defensive driving skills and the ability to operate in adverse weather conditions responsibly. Customer service orientation with a focus on passenger assistance and safety compliance.
