JOB SUMMARY

The CDL Driver supports oilfield operations by safely transporting materials, equipment, and fluids to and from job sites. This role requires strict adherence to safety and DOT/Company policies, reliable equipment operation, accurate documentation, and professional conduct with customers and crew members. Drivers may operate various vehicles (e.g., vacuum, water, flatbed, winch, or tanker trucks) depending on assignment and qualifications.

EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES

Safely operate commercial vehicles to haul oilfield-related materials, fluids, and equipment

Plan routes, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and complete required logs and documentation

Rig-up/rig-down hoses and connections; load/unload using appropriate tools and procedures

Maintain cleanliness and basic care of assigned vehicle; report defects and needed repairs

Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers to coordinate work

Follow all company policies, DOT/FMCSA regulations, and site-specific safety procedures

Assist with general labor tasks on location as needed (e.g., hose handling, spill cleanup)

Complete tickets/manifests and verify quantities; obtain signatures as required

COMPETENCIES / SKILLS

Safe driving habits and strong situational awareness

Working knowledge of DOT Hours-of-Service, vehicle inspections, and trip planning

Ability to read and follow work orders, manifests, and supervisor instructions

Basic mechanical aptitude (e.g., troubleshooting minor issues, couplings, fittings)

Clear communication, teamwork, and customer service mindset

Reliability, problem-solving, and adaptability to changing field conditions

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Primarily field-based with exposure to outdoor conditions, hydrocarbons, dust, noise, and moving equipment

Frequent climbing in/out of trucks, coupling/uncoupling hoses, and lifting/moving up to 50-75 lbs

Extended periods of driving; standing, walking, bending, kneeling as tasks require

Required use of PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, FR clothing, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection)

Irregular schedules may include long shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call work

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid CDL Class A

Current DOT medical card and ability to meet all

DOT/FMCSA

requirements

Clean MVR and acceptable driving record per company standards

Prior oilfield, tanker, or heavy haul experience is a plus

Ability to pass pre-employment screenings as required drug alcohol testing and driving record.

Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
