CDL Hot Shot Driver/Heavy Haul Driver

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting different types of equipment to various destinations. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring that our equipment is delivered safely and on time.

Duties:

• Drive trucks to transport equipment to designated locations
• Load and unload equipment, from skid steers, light plants, excavators, wheel loaders, etc
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and cosmetic issues
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the truck
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
• Ensure that all equipment is properly secured and protected during transportation
• Operate specialized equipment, such as heavy machinery, as required

Skills:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in equipment transportation
• Proficiency in operating various types of trucks and equipment
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles
• Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy equipment is a plus
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
• Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members Must live in Carlsbad area.
