This position will operate and drive the assigned mobile unit, pick-up and safely transport the mobile unit to and from the clinic site ensuring contents are properly secured in the unit to prevent damage and/or injury. This position will perform routine inspections of the mobile outreach unit. This position will also perform general maintenance duties when not on the road. This position will provide outreach event coordination, including town halls; assist to develop and implement programs to promote miner health and wellness and operate computerized and manual spirometry equipment for diagnostic purposes, administering NIOSH spirometry and audiometry tests to miners. Provide Benefits counseling, registration and data entry into REDCap for outreach and black lung patients. Assist with Black Lung Clinics. How does it get done? This position will maintain logbooks and other paperwork necessary for CDL drivers license and well as logs for the maintenance/ repair of the vehicle, assist in mapping driving routes. Establish schedules and methods for providing vehicle and equipment maintenance services, identify resource needs and review needs with appropriate management staff. Maintain computerized records, files and/or reports including data entry research databases, including updating patient data in Seniors Inc. and REDCap. Attend monthly off-site outreach screenings. Assist with promoting outreach events, including town halls at prospective clinic sites. Assist with administrative functions, including the Black Lung Clinics, including transporting the doctor to and from the standing and/or outreach clinics. Maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, perform routine maintenance and calibration as needed. Order supplies for the programs. Update inventory. Ensure a safe environment in accordance with prescribed infection control standards. Identify and report/correct environmental conditions and/or situations that may put a patient at an undue risk. Assist with Benefits Counseling, assisting miners to navigate benefit application and legal process to receive all of the benefits they qualify for. Cross-train with team on all tasks. Who are the customers? The staff, patients, miners and community. Ideal Candidate The staff, patients, miners and community. Minimum Qualification High School diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of relevant warehouse experience to include operating forklifts and/or class A/B vehicles. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) months may substitute for the required experience. A commercial driver's license is required for this position. Employment Requirements Must successfully complete a background check and have a valid drivers license. Working Conditions Must be able to routinely lift 60 pounds. Overnight travel is required on a regular basis.
