Job Description

CLASS A CDL AGGREGATE DRIVER
Job Summary Oddonetto Construction is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Aggregate Driver to safely transport and deliver aggregate materials to assigned job sites. The ideal candidate will have strong driving skills, a good understanding of DOT regulations, and the ability to operate heavy trucks safely and efficiently in a construction and mining environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Must hold a non-restricted Class A CDL license Safely operate assigned trucks and equipment in a variety of job-site and road conditions Operate vehicles with a GVW over 26,000 lbs. Pull trailers with a towed weight exceeding 10,000 lbs., when required Transport aggregate materials from the designated source to assigned destinations Safely and efficiently load, transport, and unload aggregate materials Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, loads, schedules, and delivery concerns Verify that each shipment matches the assigned load documentation or manifest Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, accidents, or delivery problems to management promptly Maintain accurate driving, delivery, and equipment logs Accurately track and report hours worked Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements Comply with all applicable traffic laws and operate according to weather, road, and job-site conditions Comply with applicable DOT, FMCSA, and ICC regulations Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with coworkers, customers, dispatch, and job-site personnel Make safety a priority at all times Requirements & Qualifications Valid Class A CDL required; non-restricted license preferred High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred 2+ years of commercial/tractor-trailer driving experience preferred Clean driving record with no serious or disqualifying moving violations Must be able to pass a background check and required drug screening Experience operating large commercial vehicles Experience with dump trucks and/or mixer trucks preferred Ability to safely maneuver, back, park, and operate heavy trucks in tight areas and job sites Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and DOT regulations Alert, focused, and detail-oriented Dependable, disciplined, and resourceful Strong communication skills High level of composure and ability to manage stressful situations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Good sense of direction and ability to follow routes and delivery instructions Willingness to work in varying weather and job-site conditions Safety Expectations Safety is a core responsibility of this position. Drivers are expected to operate equipment responsibly, follow all company and job-site safety procedures, conduct required inspections, and immediately report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns. The safety of our employees, the public, and the equipment must remain the driver's top priority at all times.
