Local Dairy / Ranch Pickup CDL Driver - Fallon, NV Home Daily | Local Routes | Tanker Work | Strong Earning Potential California Freight is hiring Local Dairy / Ranch Pickup Drivers in Fallon, Nevada . Drivers operate from our Sparks Terminal but perform local ranch milk pickups and deliveries serving the Fallon area. The Local Dairy / Ranch Pickup Driver is responsible for the safe and sanitary transportation of bulk raw milk between dairy farms and processing facilities. Drivers operate commercial tractor-trailer combinations with insulated tanker trailers and must follow applicable FMCSA Hours of Service requirements, agricultural exemption provisions, dairy sanitation requirements, and California Freight safety procedures.

Primary duties include:

Transport bulk raw milk between farms and processing facilities Inspect milk condition and collect required samples Measure, calculate, and record milk volume and weight Connect transfer hoses and operate pumps and valves to load milk Disassemble, clean, and sanitize dairy milk pump equipment after use Properly handle, label, and store milk samples Perform tractor and trailer pre-trip and post-trip inspections Maintain tanker cleanliness and sanitation Safely unload milk at receiving facilities Maintain accurate farm pickup, milk weight, sample, trip, and delivery records Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records Communicate with dispatch regarding route status, delays, equipment issues, and operational concerns Follow all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, dairy regulations, and company procedures Compensation Competitive Load Pay - Drivers with more than 20 paid statements in 2025 averaged $76,396 in gross annual earnings , with top-earning drivers exceeding $105,000 . Actual earnings vary based on route assignments, number of loads, schedule, availability, and other operational factors.

Job Requirements:

We are looking for experienced milk haulers or tanker-endorsed CDL drivers interested in a local agricultural driving career with more time behind the wheel and the opportunity for strong earnings while being home every day .

Minimum Requirements Drivers must have:

At least 6 months of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience At least 6 months of tanker experience or comparable experience Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) CDL Tanker (N) Endorsement Nevada Department of Agriculture Sampler's and Weigher's License, or ability to obtain the required license upon hire Ability to meet DOT physical, drug and alcohol testing, and FMCSA driver qualification requirements Ability to work nights, weekends, and varying schedules Physical Requirements Drivers must be able to: Climb tanker and farm tank ladders up to approximately 10 feet Lift and handle hoses and equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and agricultural environments Stand, walk, climb, bend, and perform physical tasks associated with milk pickup and delivery

Wage Range:

60000.00 - 115000.00 per year
