An Independent Contractor Truck Driver drives large trucks used to transport cargo, driving as needed on a per-job basis. Is responsible for tracking own hours, taxes, insurance and other requirements.
LOGISTICS, in partnership with SJR Logistics Company, is currently seeking reliable, responsible, and motivated Van Delivery Drivers to join our delivery team on a contractual basis as Independent Contractors. Position Van Delivery Driver — Independent Driver Compensation $650-$700 per week Drivers will be compensated via: Cash Cash App Delivery Area Loads and deliveries will primarily be throughout the New York City area, with some routes and deliveries extending into New Jersey. Drivers should be comfortable navigating NYC and surrounding areas and be available for occasional NJ routes. Responsibilities Pick up and deliver assigned loads using a van Safely load, organize, transport, and unload packages Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules Complete deliveries safely and on time Maintain communication regarding deliveries, delays, and route updates Properly handle all packages and goods Follow all traffic laws and safety requirements Maintain accurate delivery information when required Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized Driver Requirements Applicants must: Possess a current and valid driver's license in good standing Be comfortable operating a cargo/delivery van Have safe and responsible driving habits Be reliable, punctual, and professional Have a smartphone with reliable service and GPS capabilities Be able to lift, load, and unload packages as necessary Be able to work independently and manage assigned routes Be comfortable driving throughout NYC and occasionally New Jersey Previous delivery, courier, logistics, or van-driving experience is preferred but not required. Independent Driver Status All drivers will be hired on a contractual basis and will be considered Independent Drivers, not employees of
SJR LOGISTICS.
