Job Description

Abscope Environmental Inc. (Canastota, NY) is seeking a full-time CDL-A Driver to transport construction equipment locally and regionally. The CDL Class A Driver/Mechanic position includes: Lowboy driver consisting of oversized and flatbed loads in a safe, professional manner Perform Pre/Post Trip inspections Complete trucking logbook per DOT regulations Basic equipment operating skills with the ability to read and write description of mechanical problems and repairs Experience with understanding/reading hauling permits Follow safety rules/regulations at all times Experience safely running oversized equipment Overnight travel may be required Qualifications/Experience. Class A Commercial Driver's license Minimum 5 years' experience as a CDL-A Driver hauling heavy equipment Thorough understanding of the proper operation and maintenance of trucks and trailers Clean driving record for past 3 years Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, reach, pull and lift Able to travel and work extended hours as needed in all weather conditions Able to work with fuel, lubricants and solvents Able to pass a DOT physical and drug test and be subject to random drug screening Knowledge of DOT regulations Current 40-hour
