As a Commercial Plow Operator , you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently clearing snow from commercial parking lots, roadways, and drive lanes while providing exceptional service to our customers. This position requires dependable individuals who can respond quickly to winter weather events and take pride in delivering quality work. Key Responsibilities Safely operate pickup trucks equipped with snowplows to clear commercial parking lots and drive lanes. Apply de-icing materials as directed to maintain safe driving conditions. Follow assigned routes while ensuring all properties are serviced according to contract specifications. Respond to snow dispatch within 30 minutes of being contacted. Work overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts during snow events. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and plow equipment. Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance concerns immediately. Accurately document completed services using a tablet. Maintain communication with supervisors throughout each shift. Follow all company safety policies and safe driving practices. Assist with other seasonal property maintenance duties as assigned. Know the rules for snow practices.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age Valid New York State Driver's License (CDL is a plus but not required) Experience operating snowplows, pickup trucks, or similar equipment preferred Ability to look over shoulder, twist, and turn body/neck repeatedly for long hours Ability to safely drive in snow, ice, and challenging winter conditions Ability to work extended hours during snow events Ability to lift 50 pounds. Willingness to be on call to work variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. Reliable transportation to report for work Must be able to use a tablet for service documentation Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
