Overview Join our dynamic team as a Driver and become a vital part of our logistics and transportation operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route management, and cargo handling will help us deliver exceptional service to our clients while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized vehicles, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards. Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for safe transportation. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Maintain accurate documentation for freight shipments, delivery logs, and inspection reports while adhering to truck loading/unloading procedures. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure trucks are in optimal condition; report any mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route status, delivery schedules, or any unforeseen delays or issues during transit. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with a solid understanding of trucking operations. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for hazmat, tanker, or other specialized vehicle types preferred. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tractor-trailers, and logistics cargo handling techniques. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently; experience with manual handling of cargo is a plus. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning across over-the-road routes. Excellent safety record demonstrating adherence to all transportation laws and regulations.
