Class A CDL Delivery Driver Direct Hire | Union Position Our client offers one of the most comprehensive training programs in the industry, providing employees with in-depth knowledge of the products and brands they represent, delivery procedures, customer service expectations, safety practices, and cross-training across multiple departments. This is a direct-hire, non-exempt union position offering medical, dental, and pension benefits . Training will be provided to qualified candidates. Essential Responsibilities Safely operate a commercial delivery vehicle while following all company, DOT, and safety regulations Prepare, load, secure, transport, unload, and deliver products to assigned customer locations Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, tires, equipment, and overall vehicle condition Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules while ensuring accurate and timely deliveries Maintain required delivery records, logs, paperwork, and documentation Provide professional and courteous customer service at each delivery location Address delivery-related concerns and promptly escalate issues when necessary Maintain the cleanliness and proper operation of the delivery vehicle Identify vehicle maintenance or mechanical concerns and report or coordinate necessary repairs Follow all safety procedures when loading, unloading, and handling products
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
License:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Clean and acceptable driving record Ability to safely operate a commercial delivery vehicle Ability to meet applicable DOT requirements Previous commercial delivery or route-driving experience preferred Skills & Abilities Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to use GPS navigation devices and/or read maps Ability to follow delivery routes, schedules, and instructions Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to work independently and professionally with customers Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with loading, unloading, and delivering products
