The driver will be responsible for delivering fresh food products, including mozzarella, tomatoes, and other specialty Italian food items, to restaurants, pizzerias, and food service establishments throughout Long Island, Queens, and Manhattan. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, professional, and committed to providing excellent customer service while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL Class B commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT, federal, state, and local regulations. Deliver food products to restaurants, pizzerias, and other food service customers on assigned routes. Load and unload products using proper lifting techniques and equipment. Verify orders and obtain customer signatures upon delivery. Inspect the truck before and after each route and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, logs, and route documentation. Ensure products are handled safely and remain in excellent condition during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules or issues. Provide courteous and professional customer service at each delivery location. Follow all company food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures. Keep the truck clean and organized. Qualifications Valid CDL Class B driver's license with a clean driving record. Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card). Previous commercial driving or food distribution experience preferred but not required. Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines. Reliable, dependable, and customer-service oriented. Knowledge of Long Island and New York City routes is a plus.
