In this role, you will assist in equipping new and existing drivers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to operate motorcoaches safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. Your expertise in commercial driving, traffic laws, and safety standards will ensure our team maintains the highest levels of professionalism and safety on the road. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence driver performance and uphold our commitment to exceptional passenger service. Pay based off experience and availability Required Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving or bus driving with a strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle operation. Prior experience in commercial driving instruction or adult education with classroom teaching expertise. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, and safety compliance requirements specific to passenger transportation. Hands-on experience operating tractor-trailers or large passenger buses with manual transmission systems. Demonstrated ability to teach complex concepts clearly and effectively in a classroom setting. Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements; additional certifications are a plus, but not required. Responsibilities Help develop, organize, and deliver engaging classroom and hands-on training sessions for motorcoach drivers, emphasizing safe driving practices and regulatory compliance. Help conduct instructional sessions on topics such as FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, air brake systems, manual transmission operation, and tractor-trailer handling. Help evaluate driver skills through practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to improve driving techniques and adherence to safety protocols. Stay current with industry standards and regulatory updates to ensure training content remains accurate and relevant. Help maintain detailed records of training activities, driver progress, certifications earned, and compliance documentation. Collaborate with management to identify training needs based on performance metrics and operational requirements. Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous learning among all drivers through ongoing coaching and support.
