Job Description
Clean Harbors is seeking a CDL Tanker Driver to safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous liquids for environmental and industrial projects. Operating modern tanker equipment, you will perform pre/post-trip inspections, follow DOT and OSHA regulations, and ensure compliant loading/unloading of materials. You'll support spill response and field services while upholding our safety-first, environmentally focused culture built on integrity, teamwork, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL tanker trucks to transport hazardous and non-hazardous liquids Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and Clean Harbors safety and environmental regulations Handle loading and unloading of tanker materials using proper equipment and procedures Respond to dispatch instructions and follow assigned routes and schedules Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and site personnel Maintain clean, compliant, and well-documented equipment and paperwork Support emergency response and environmental projects as needed Required Skills CDL Class A with tanker endorsement Hazardous materials (Haz Mat) handling DOT compliance and regulations Tanker loading and offloading procedures Trip planning and electronic log systems (ELDs) Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Defensive and safe driving techniques Spill prevention and containment procedures Use of PPE and safety equipment Basic paperwork and documentation skills
