Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Residential/Commercial Collection Driver! We are seeking a reliable, flexible, and environmentally minded person to serve as a driver for our compost collector position. As our Compost Collector, you're in charge of picking up 48-gallon toters & 5-gallon buckets from our customers and simultaneously delivering clean bins to them. The position is approximately 32-38 hours per week, with the potential for a salaried position & growth within the company.

Job:
Commercial and residential door-to-door collection by a small garbage truck and flatbed with a liftgate Use our database to access the route and enter information during collection Field service requests from our customer support staff throughout your workday Wash, organize compost bins & maintain inventory at our facility in Kerhonkson, NY Basic truck maintenance Assist with collection-based content for social media
Requirements:
Good, happy person driving and working alone Interest in environmental stewardship, composting, and being part of a team Ability to lift 50 pounds and roll equipment on wheels weighing up to 300 pounds Desire to work outdoors in any weather situation Willing and able to perform basic maintenance on trucks Comfortable with the decomposition process and smells of food scraps Valid Driver's License, at least 5 years of driving experience, and a clean driving record (we will do a background check) Comfortable driving vehicles including a large, non-CDL truck, transit van, or similar vehicle, or confidence and willingness to learn Professional driving experience for a delivery service or similar is strongly preferred Basic technology - Tablets, Excel, Google Docs Reliable, healthy & on-time Problem solver with personal initiative Mechanical skills desirable Ability to effectively communicate with customers when needed
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
