Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced milk tanker truck driver to join our dynamic logistics team, must have tanker endorsement, 3 years experience preferred, In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your primary focus will be ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving expertise, manage logistics cargo handling, and contribute to our commitment to reliable service. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, across diverse routes and terrains. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securing and compliance with safety standards. Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimize routes for fuel efficiency. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) guidelines. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Ensure proper documentation for automobile transportation, freight manifests, and delivery receipts are completed accurately. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads as applicable. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving within OTR routes. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and understanding of truck loading and unloading procedures. Knowledge of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading techniques, and freight management systems. Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation. Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy or bulky loads. Strong navigation skills using GPS navigation tools to ensure timely deliveries across various routes.
