Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of trucks, including flatbeds/ piggy backs, vans,box trucks. This role involves delivering construction material safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. A strong commitment to safety and customer service is essential. Duties Operate different types of trucks, including flatbeds/piggy backs , vans and boxtrucks . Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while following assigned routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling of materials Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally. Requirements regular drivers license also works fine depending on what truck your looking to drive Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a truck driver in various capacities such as delivery driver or route driving. Familiarity with operating different truck types including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, tankers, roll-off trucks, refrigerated trailers, and flatbeds is preferred. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in commercial driving. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo and conducting vehicle inspections. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
