Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tractor Trailer Driver (Sleeper) and take the wheel of our state-of-the-art trucks to deliver freight across diverse routes! Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with sleeper cabs across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking manual transmission systems, brakes, lights, and trailer connections. Manage various trailer types including refrigerated units for temperature-sensitive goods, Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and driving time. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route adjustments, delivery updates, or any vehicle issues that arise during trips. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers and route driving. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks is highly desirable. Experience handling refrigerated trailers, Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when necessary. Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to freight transport and vehicle operation. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with route planning tools. Nice-to-have skills include delivery driver experience with freight handling across various trailer types such as roll-off trucks or specialized cargo vehicles. Additional certifications like forklift operation or dump truck licensing can enhance your candidacy. Embark on a fulfilling career where every mile counts!
