Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics operation! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, delivering goods efficiently, and ensuring timely deliveries across various routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving and cargo handling will help us maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) routes & Local Region Routes. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques while maintaining proper cargo security protocols. Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety guidelines. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues and verifying load securement. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records related to truck loading/unloading, freight handling, and route delivery. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate schedules, address issues, and confirm delivery details. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) & Regular Driver License with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading/unloading processes. Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning on OTR routes. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight security and accuracy.
