$35.00-$40.00 per hour, based on experience Job Overview Elite Parking Area Maintenance is seeking an experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our commercial construction and paving operation based in Oakdale and Sayville, NY . This is a full-time, year-round position — not seasonal . We are looking for a dependable, safety-conscious professional with experience operating heavy trucks and trailers in a construction environment. Ideal candidates will have experience with one or more of the following: Tri-axle with trailer Dump trailer Lowbed / lowboy Landoll trailer Experience with all of the above is not required. Candidates with strong experience operating some of this equipment are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, trucks, and trailers. Transport construction equipment, materials, asphalt, aggregate, and other loads as assigned. Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment and materials safely. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections . Maintain driver logs and required DOT documentation. Ensure vehicles, trailers, equipment, and cargo are safe, legal, and properly secured before transport. Maintain compliance with applicable DOT and company safety requirements . Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, field crews, customers, and jobsite personnel. Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment in a clean and professional condition. Promptly report mechanical, safety, or maintenance concerns. Qualifications & Requirements Valid Class A CDL required. Clean driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Valid DOT medical card. Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred . Construction, paving, sitework, heavy-haul, or similar driving experience strongly preferred. Experience with tri-axle/trailer combinations, dump trailers, lowbeds/lowboys, and/or Landoll trailers strongly preferred. Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload construction equipment and materials. Knowledge of DOT safety, inspection, and driver-log requirements. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work safely in an active construction environment. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Manual transmission / 18-speed experience is strongly preferred. Compensation & Schedule $35.00-$40.00 per hour , depending on experience. Full-time employment. Year-round work — 12 months per year, not seasonal. Overtime opportunities may be available based on workload and scheduling. Benefits Paid vacation. Paid holidays.
