Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure timely and secure deliveries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across designated routes, including OTR routes, ensuring on-time deliveries. Load and unload freight accurately, handling logistics cargo with care and precision, including hazardous and dangerous goods when necessary. Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to optimize routes and meet delivery schedules while complying with all DOT regulations. Transport various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or automobile transportation as required. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during transit. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving. Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling techniques for logistics cargo handling. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling. Ability to operate trucks with manual transmission confidently and safely. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols. Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution.
