Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Tow Truck Driver/Mechanic to join our team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely towing vehicles, performing minor mechanical repairs, and ensuring efficient vehicle recovery operations. Responsibilities Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and vehicle recovery towing equipment, to transport vehicles efficiently and securely. Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs to assist with vehicle recovery or prepare vehicles for transport. Ensure cargo securement protocols are followed meticulously during loading and unloading to prevent damage or accidents. Perform vehicle inspections prior to towing, checking for mechanical issues and ensuring the safe loading onto the tow truck. Manage customer interactions professionally, providing excellent customer service during roadside assistance or vehicle pickup/drop-off. Follow all safety procedures related to driving, cargo securement, and vehicle mechanics to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with load & unload operations using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of all cargo. Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic with strong automotive diagnostics and repair skills. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving and flatbed towing. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, including minor mechanical repairs and basic troubleshooting. Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading techniques on tow trucks. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely over long distances if required. Excellent conflict management skills with a focus on resolving customer issues professionally.
