Key Responsibilities Fleet Operation:
Safely operate CDL-class vehicles, including log trucks, bucket trucks, dump trailers, chip trucks, and heavy haul trailers to and from work sites.
Site Support & Crew Work:
Assist ground crews on job sites—loading timber, operating mechanical cranes/winches, hauling chip trailers, and managing debris clearing when necessary.
Equipment Care:
Conduct thorough Daily Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections (DOT compliant) to keep vehicles clean, maintained, and operational.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere strictly to all OSHA, DOT, and local road safety regulations while navigating residential neighborhoods, highway routes, and tight off-road job sites.
Qualifications License:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or Class B) with a clean driving record.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred (experience with tree care, construction, forestry, or heavy equipment transport is a plus).
DOT Requirements:
Valid DOT Medical Card and ability to pass standard pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
Physical Capability:
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, perform lifting up to 50+ lbs, and assist crew ground operations when required.
Air Brake Endorsement:
Required.
