Job Description

Job Overview Provides excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders. Schedule pick-ups as necessary. Customer assistance as needed. Performs all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Follow route instructions. Communication throughout shift with dispatcher, sales team and/or manager. Performs general warehouse duties when needed. Responsibilities Load trucks accurately and safely for customer deliveries Drives vehicles (e.g. truck, pallet jack, forklift) for the purpose of transporting orders and produce items to designated locations. Unload truck as needed at customer locations. Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect Report back order or discrepancies with manager prior to leaving customer. Perform vehicle and/or forklift inspections as required, schedule routine or repair maintenance as needed. Maintain presentable truck appearance and clean as needed. Assists in receiving produce items for the purpose of ensuring quantity and quality of order are correct. Prepares orders by pulling from stock for the purpose of meeting delivery requirements.

Skills:
Previous warehouse as well as forklift and electric pallet jack experience is preferred. Forklift certification is required to operate the machinery. Experience using RF scanner preferred, must be able to use successfully in the completion of warehouse tasks. Ability to learn to read and properly interpret pallet pattern with proper tier and tie, rotating and alternating pallets.
Experience/Requirements:
2+ years of delivery driving experience required. Class A or Class B driver's license is required.
Physical Demands:
Frequently required to walk; sit; reach with hands and arms, and able to stoop and kneel. The employee must frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 60 pounds repeatedly. Frequent reaching and grasping at waist level: occasionally above shoulder or below waist level.
