Job Description

Animal Caretaker Full-Time | Salary Exempt | $66,300/year

• Critterville Farm Sanctuary is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and hardworking Animal Caretaker to provide daily care for our rescued farm animals and help maintain a safe, clean, and functional farm environment. Responsibilities Feed animals and provide fresh water daily Clean and maintain stalls, barns, coops, and animal enclosures Monitor animals for changes in health, behavior, or condition and report concerns Refill hay, feed, bedding, and other animal-care supplies Assist with routine animal handling and basic animal care Help maintain fencing, shelters, pastures, grounds, and other farm infrastructure Maintain clean and safe animal-care areas Follow established animal-care, sanitation, and safety procedures Assist with general farm tasks as needed Requirements Previous animal-care and farm experience required Demonstrated ability to work responsibly and independently Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working outdoors in all seasons Comfortable with physical, hands-on, and sometimes messy work Able to lift and carry feed, hay, bedding, and other farm supplies Patient, compassionate, and comfortable handling rescued farm animals Reliable transportation Ability to work a flexible farm schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed

Compensation & Schedule Salary:

$66,300 per year

Status:

Full-time, salary exempt

Paid Time Off:

2 weeks of paid vacation after 6 months of employment

Housing:

Housing may be available for the right candidate

$66,300.00 per year
