SUMMARY :
Our Class B Drivers-Boom Operators are responsible for delivering products and materials on a timely basis to job sites, as well as, for loading and unloading trucks and providing supervision/direction to laborers as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Drive trucks from the facility to designated job sites safely and in a timely manner. Load and unload building materials on and off trucks and carry materials onto job sites. Keep mileage logs as necessary. Ability to follow directions from dispatcher/branch management. Ability to convey directions and work effectively with a partner. Operate forklifts periodically. Use personal protective equipment as required. Responsible for care and maintenance of assigned vehicle. Must be able to operate designated crane/boom, or moffett safely and efficiently. Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to. Notify branch management immediately on any unsafe loading condition. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONSREQUIREMENTS
: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
: Some schooling is preferred. One must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). One must also obtain a clean driving history record. Participate in mandatory federally programs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Will experience frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Frequently experience lifting and carrying objects including overhead lifting (weights will vary from 50 to 150 pounds). Dexterity to manipulate and utilize equipment on an as needed basis. Obtain visual acuity. Will be exposed to environmental surroundings - e.g. dust and varying temperatures.
