, NY Full-Time Job Summary L.J. Quigliano, Inc. is looking for a dependable, safety-focused Truck Driver to join our excavation and site development team. CDL and non-CDL drivers are encouraged to apply. The type of truck and responsibilities assigned will depend on your license, experience and qualifications. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants steady, local work and enjoys being part of a construction crew. Our drivers help keep projects moving by transporting materials, tools and equipment to and from job sites throughout the Buffalo-Niagara area. Responsibilities Safely operate company trucks based on your license and qualifications Transport construction materials, tools and equipment to and from job sites CDL drivers may operate dump trucks and other commercial vehicles as qualified Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Follow company safety procedures and applicable DOT requirements Communicate with foremen, equipment operators and other crew members Safely maneuver vehicles around active excavation and construction sites Keep assigned vehicles clean and report maintenance concerns promptly Assist the crew on the job site when needed Maintain a professional attitude when working with customers, contractors and other trades Qualifications Valid driver's license required CDL Class A or Class B is preferred, but not required for all positions Clean and acceptable driving record Experience driving trucks or working in construction is preferred Dump truck or construction vehicle experience is a plus Ability to safely load, transport and unload materials Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections Reliable attendance and dependable transportation Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions Ability to work independently and as part of a crew CDL Drivers Applicants with a Class A or Class B CDL may be assigned to larger commercial trucks and hauling responsibilities based on their license, endorsements and experience. Non-CDL Drivers Applicants without a CDL may operate company vehicles that do not require a commercial driver's license and assist with transportation, deliveries and general job-site responsibilities. Construction experience is helpful, but we are also interested in dependable candidates who are willing to learn. This is local work , not an over-the-road driving position. Our projects are primarily throughout the Buffalo-Niagara region, allowing our drivers to be home at the end of the workday.
