Job Description

Van Driver Schedule:
Monday -
Friday Pay Rate:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour , based on experience Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Van Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for our residents to and from medical appointments and other facility-related appointments. The ideal candidate will be professional, patient, safety-conscious, and comfortable working with the elderly population. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely transport residents to and from medical and other scheduled appointments. Assist residents with entering and exiting the facility vehicle as needed. Ensure residents are safely secured and comfortable during transportation. Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate service to residents. Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment. Complete required vehicle safety checks and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain accurate transportation and mileage records as required. Communicate appointment schedules and transportation needs with facility staff. Follow all facility policies, procedures, and applicable transportation regulations. Maintain resident confidentiality and protect residents' privacy and dignity. Assist with other transportation-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Current NYS Driver's License in good standing. Current CNA certification preferred, or willingness to obtain CNA certification. Must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT physical examination ; company will pay for the required physical. Previous experience transporting or working with seniors is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Ability to work independently while following facility procedures. Must demonstrate patience, compassion, and a commitment to resident safety.
