Duties Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized vehicles, to recover, tow, and transport vehicles of all types. Conduct basic vehicle diagnostics and minor mechanical repairs to ensure safe towing operations. Secure vehicles properly using cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit. Follow proper procedures for vehicle loading onto tow trucks, ensuring safe and efficient handling of different vehicle sizes and types. Assist with vehicle recovery towing, including accident scenes or breakdowns, utilizing vehicle mechanics knowledge for troubleshooting issues. Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including details of pickups, drop-offs, and incidents. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, addressing concerns professionally, and ensuring a positive experience during stressful situations. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving preferred. Mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, minor mechanical repairs, and basic troubleshooting. Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading techniques. Hands-on experience operating flatbed tow trucks or similar equipment; mechanic experience is a plus. Ability to handle conflict management professionally while maintaining composure under pressure. Knowledge of vehicle mechanics relevant to truck drivers and car towing operations. Skilled in manual transmission driving and operating equipment such as forklifts when needed for load handling. Strong commitment to safety standards and adherence to traffic laws during all operations.
