Job Overview Join our team as a CDL-A Heavy Haul Driver specializing in Towing and Equipment Transport! In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty tractor-trailers equipped for hauling oversized loads, including specialized towing and transportation of heavy equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse freight types such as flatbed, tanker, refrigerated trailers, and hazardous materials, making every day a new adventure in towing and transporting. What you'll do Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual and automatic transmissions across mostly short and some long-distance routes, including OTR driving routes. Transport heavy equipment, towing vehicles, and specialized freight such as hazardous materials or dangerous goods while complying with hazardous materials regulations. Load and unload equipment and trucks ensure proper securing of cargo. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to optimize routes. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for all shipments transported. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments as needed. Skills Proven experience driving commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions. Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, especially for freight such as freight containers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time adjustments during trips. Understanding of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) and dangerous goods handling procedures. Experience in automobile transportation or delivery driving within a trucking environment. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual handling techniques, and route driving efficiency. $1,200.00 - $1,700.00 per week
