Job Description
L ocally owned junk removal company in the Utica area is looking for an experienced driver-operator for per-job contract work. This is 1099 independent contractor work: jobs are offered as they come up and you accept or decline each one.
What the work is:
you drive your own pickup, tow our trailer, lead 2-person junk removal and cleanout jobs (a crew member loads with you), and run loads to the transfer station. Jobs across Utica, Rome, and Oneida County.Pay:
$40/hr, door to done, with a 2-hour minimum per job.What you need:
- Full-size pickup in good condition with a tow package (Class III/IV hitch)
- Real towing experience: you can hook up, tow, and BACK UP a 7x14 trailer confidently (we will have you demonstrate)
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance on your own vehicle
- Comfortable talking with customers and representing the company well
