Job Description

Truck Driver Job Description As a Truck Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of aggregate material, including sand, stone concrete washout, mixed material, fill construction removal, etc. What you'll do Operate automatic and/or manuel tractors with 32 foot dump trailers. Dump material safely and efficiently and ensuring your dump trailer is properly loaded with an appropriate weight and acceptable material. Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays and changes to schedules. Basic qualifications Valid Class A, commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for vehicle type. Proven experience as a tractor-trailer dump truck driver or in commercial driving roles. Preferred qualifications Proficiency in manual and/or automatic transmission operation. Three (3) to Five (5) years experience with 32 foot dump trailers. Familiarity with different types of construction and aggregate materials, the different quarries within the metropolitan area and truck route driving/logistics planning. Strong understanding of safety practices for operating a dump trailer.
