Operates a rollback tow truck to safely and efficiently retrieve vehicles sold to our company from different locations around Western NY. Directly interacts with customers selling vehicles to Wilbert s to provide exceptional service throughout the vehicle recovery process. Constantly self-motivated to maintain a high level of efficiency and customer service. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operates a tow truck to ensure the safe recovery of vehicles from a variety of customers on a daily basis.- Adheres to all local, state, and federal vehicle safety traffic laws and DOT regulations. Inspects tow trucks in accordance with the Pre-trip Checklist and reports any discrepancies to management.
- Maintains truck and personal appearance in a clean and professional manner at all times.
- Takes direction from the Contact Center and CSR II to make efficient use of time and company assets to provide the customer with the best service.
- Personal cellular devices will be utilized for communication with customers and coworkers.
- Completes all necessary paperwork as outlined in the standard operating procedures for the position.
- Inspect all vehicles being retrieved to company standards and procedures.
- Complete vehicle purchasing transaction; cash or check tendered to customer.
- Accountable for cash til management during each shift.
- Follows all company safety policies and procedures while operating equipment without causing damage or harm to people, property or equipment.
- Utilizes software for vehicle recoveries and safe vehicle management.
- Provides excellent customer service by serving as the face of the company to customers; hands out marketing material to each customer highlighting the services the company offers that they may be interested in.
- May be required to operate certain types of forklifts or heavy machinery with appropriate license.
