Job Description

We are a building materials distributor looking for a responsible CDL Class B truck driver to transport materials for deliveries on flat bed trucks. You will be driving routes in the five boroughs of NYC and Long Island, from customer to customer and picking-up materials as well. Responsibilities Deliver orders to different addresses and through different routes Follow routes and time schedules Uses proper handling procedures to protect and secure material for transport Maintain contact with supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new locations Operate vehicles in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner Follow DOT regulations and safety standards Ensure vehicles are maintained in full working condition (including fueling and pre/post checks) and reports any vehicle irregularities to dispatch immediately. Experience and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Must have a clean and valid driver's license CDL license required Commercial driver medical certification 2 years of professional driving experience; similar industry preferred Must know how to drive flat bed trucks Understand how to properly load and unload material from flatbed trucks
