Responsibilities Safely move and spot trailers within the yard and at dock doors Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on tractors and trailers Coordinate moves with dispatch, warehouse, and shipping/receiving teams Maintain accurate yard positioning and trailer documentation as directed Follow all DOT, company, and yard safety procedures and policies Operate yard tractor/hostler and related equipment properly Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly Support efficient freight flow to meet loading and unloading schedules Required Skills CDL Class A driving Backing and maneuvering trailers in tight yards Coupling and uncoupling trailers Yard tractor/hostler operation DOT and FMCSA safety compliance Vehicle inspection (pre/post trip) Basic load securement Time management Radio/yard management system use Warehouse and dock safety procedures
