This position will start as a part time role with the opportunity to advance to a full time employee. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent route planning abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards. The Truck Driver will operate different types of vehicles, including flatbeds and straight trucks ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while considering traffic patterns and road conditions. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered on the road. Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Experience Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures for various types of freight. Experience operating flatbed trucks is preferred. Knowledge of route driving techniques and logistics management. Material handling equipment operation experience is a plus but not mandatory. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
