Great drivers have choices. We're looking for a recruiter who knows how to find them, build a connection, and guide them through the hiring process. Dick Lavy Trucking is hiring an experienced CDL Driver Recruiter to work at our headquarters in Bradford, Ohio. You'll take ownership of driver recruiting, from finding prospective CDL-A drivers to helping qualified candidates complete their pre-employment steps. You'll also work closely with our operations team to understand where drivers are needed most. If you enjoy talking with people, finding creative ways to reach candidates, and keeping a busy hiring process moving, we'd like to hear from you. What you'll do Find and connect with prospective CDL-A drivers through job boards, social media, online searches, referrals, and industry contacts. Respond to calls and inquiries from interested drivers, answer questions, and follow up throughout the hiring process. Post and manage recruiting advertisements and recommend new ways to reach qualified candidates. Build a pipeline of drivers for current and future openings. Partner with operations to understand staffing needs and prioritize recruiting efforts. Coordinate applications, pre-employment paperwork, and background check steps. Maintain accurate candidate information and keep the hiring process organized. Help manage and update recruiting content on the company website, Facebook and other social media outlets. What you'll bring Prior recruiting experience; CDL driver or transportation recruiting experience is strongly preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport over the phone. Confidence using computers, online recruiting tools, and Microsoft programs. The ability to manage multiple candidates and priorities while following through on details. Experience with Tenstreet and Samsara is preferred.
