JOB DESCRIPTION A

moving company is seeking Class A and Non-CDL Drivers to transport and assist in loading and unloading products into and out of trucks. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Job Duties:

Drive a 26' box truck Pick up and safety transport goods and ensure contents are properly secured Perform inspections of vehicle prior to and following each trip Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs Obey all traffic laws and drive according to weather/road conditions Communicate with dispatch as needed Load and unload vehicles by hand or by using a hand truck or dolly Ensure vehicle is kept clean and make safety a priority at all times

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

Two years commercial driving experience is preferred Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner Must have the ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs, requests, and assistance Must have excellent communication skills Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds, frequently 100 pounds, and occasionally more than 100 pounds Must have work boots Must have the ability to follow all policies and procedures Must have a valid drivers' license, a clean record, a DOT Card, sense of direction, and be able to efficiently use GPS or other routing systems Must have a polite and friendly personality with a neat appearance Must be able to maintain confidentiality Only candidates that can pass a background, BMV check, and drug screen will be considered.
