Job Description

We are a growing trucking and logistics company seeking a people-oriented, organized, and proactive Driver Recruiter to join our team. In this dual-focus role, you will lead our driver recruitment efforts and manage the complete onboarding experience. You will be the first point of contact for incoming drivers, guiding them from their initial application through to their first dispatch. The ideal candidate understands the trucking industry, excels at building relationships with professional drivers, and possesses an eagle eye for FMCSA compliance and documentation.
Responsibilities Driver Recruitment:
Source, screen, and interview qualified company drivers and owner-operators using recruitment platforms and social media.
Onboarding & Orientation:
Guide newly hired drivers through the entire onboarding process, setting them up for success from day one.
Compliance Management:
Collect, review, and verify all driver qualification (DQ) files, including CDL licenses, medical cards, MVRs, and background checks, ensuring 100% compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
Systems Setup:
Set up new drivers in internal communication channels, payroll, and logistics tracking software.
Driver Retention & Support:
Act as a dedicated resource for drivers to address HR inquiries, policy questions, and onboarding feedback, fostering a supportive company culture.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1-2 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or driver recruitment within the transportation/trucking industry (Highly Preferred).
Compliance Knowledge:
Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA driver qualification regulations and hiring standards.
Communication:
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with an authentic ability to connect with and support drivers.
Organization:
Exceptional attention to detail, strong data entry skills, and the ability to maintain meticulous digital filing systems.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficient with ATS/HR platforms (e.g., Tenstreet, Indeed Employer Dashboard) and Google Workspace/Excel.
