Job Description
Yard Jockey/ Driver - 2nd shift The Yard Driver reports to the Team Leader and is responsible for completing day-to-day operational functions within the assigned department. This role may occasionally assist other departments based on business needs. As a Yard Jockey, you will split your time between the warehouse and the yard, ensuring materials and trailers are moved efficiently, accurately, and safely. Organizational Description NX Automotive Logistics USA, Inc. (NXAL) Operations Departments operate in a warehouse, or a manufacturing environment and associates are subject to moderate amounts of dust, dirt, and odors, primarily produced by packaging materials and the operation of propane-powered forklifts as well as noise primarily produced by production equipment. Temperatures during the year will vary. Frequently operate a computer, read, write and interact with others in person, over the phone and via other devices. They move about within the facility and may travel to other locations. Roles/Responsibilities/Functions Position requires the Associate to operate equipment as well as perform receiving job functions within the warehouse, including yard driver duties for the departments. Certification to operate the NXAL yard driver will be required, as is a current valid Driver's License. The Associate may also assist in receiving parts from suppliers, pulling parts per work instructions, comparing part numbers, quantities and colors, and loading to the assigned trailer. Therefore, a forklift operator's license will be required. Accuracy is of the highest importance. Daily and weekend overtime may be required upon demand to complete the loading of storage lane or delivery of parts to meet our customer's production requirements. Position requires the Associate to handle parts that may weigh up to fifty pounds. Position requires the Associate to work well independently with minimum supervision. When requested this position may be required to perform other assigned job functions in or out of this work area, to meet our customer's needs/demands.
