JOB DESCRIPTION
Noble Transportation Group is seeking experienced, dependable, safety-conscious CDL drivers for long-haul steel transportation. We operate 25-28 ft Freightliner flatbed/stake trucks hauling steel coils and steel plates . Routes are within a maximum 7-hour driving radius from Cleveland, Ohio , with occasional overnight trips.
COMPENSATION & TRAVEL 25
%-30% of load revenue , depending on experience Typical weekly earnings: $700-$1,200 Monday through Friday schedule Occasional Saturdays Maximum driving radius: 7 hours from Cleveland, Ohio Occasional overnight trips Hotel accommodations paid for qualifying overnight trips $25 per diem for qualifying overnight travel
RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate company Freightliner flatbed/stake trucks Transport steel coils and steel plates Properly tie down, secure, and tarp loads Perform required vehicle inspections Maintain DOT compliance Complete required paperwork and driving logs Maintain communication with dispatch and customers Protect and secure freight during transportation Perform basic equipment and safety checks Maintain a professional and safety-focused approach at all times
QUALIFICATIONS
Class A & Class B CDL drivers encouraged to apply Minimum 2 years of professional CDL driving experience Clean driving record Must pass a drug screening Must meet all applicable DOT requirements Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds Must be able to tie down and tarp material Must be comfortable performing outdoor, physical steel-hauling work Flatbed, stake-bed, steel hauling, or load-securement experience preferred Manual transmission experience preferred Drivers with an automatic CDL are encouraged to apply
TRAINING PROVIDED
We will train the right driver.
Training may include:
Proper operation of company equipment Load securement and tie-down procedures Tarping procedures Handling steel coils and steel plates Freightliner equipment operation Company safety procedures DOT compliance and required inspections
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position involves physically demanding outdoor work.
Drivers must be able to:
Lift at least 50 pounds Tie down and secure heavy steel loads Tarp loads Work outdoors in varying weather conditions Safely climb onto and around equipment when required Perform loading and load-securement tasks
