CDL Driver (Class A Preferred)

Newton Falls, OH About the Opportunity Our client is seeking experienced CDL Delivery Driver to join their team. This role is responsible for safely delivering building materials to local customer jobsites while providing outstanding customer service. Drivers operate a well-maintained company fleet and play an important role in ensuring materials are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. This is a local driving position. Responsibilities Safely transport building materials to local customer jobsites using company-owned trucks Load and unload materials using forklifts, truck-mounted (Moffett/"piggyback") forklifts, dump beds, or other delivery equipment Operate flatbed trailers and secure loads for safe transportation Deliver materials directly to designated jobsite locations while providing professional customer service Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after trips to ensure safe operation Maintain delivery schedules and complete required documentation accurately Work closely with warehouse and yard personnel to load trucks efficiently Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures Qualifications Valid Class A CDL preferred (Class B candidates may be considered) Acceptable driving record Previous CDL delivery experience, preferably delivering building materials Experience operating flatbed trailers and hauling oversized or wide loads is highly preferred Experience operating a Moffett (piggyback/truck-mounted) forklift is strongly preferred Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment Comfortable loading and unloading your own truck using forklifts and other equipment Ability to work independently while also being a reliable team player Strong commitment to safety and customer service Training Our client provides approximately two weeks of paid training , including instruction on truss hauling and the operation of roller systems for specialized loads Candidates must consent to a pre-employment background check and drug screen and must be able to provide two professional job references.
